Model and actress Kim Porter rests in her hometown of Columbus

The former model, actress and mother Kim Porter was buried in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia on Saturday morning.

The memorial service, which was held at the Cascade Hills Church, brought together between 1,200 and 1,500 people, according to TMZ. Mary J. Blige, Kandi Burruss, Lil Kim, Tichina Arnold, Yolanda Adams, Nene Leakes, Toya Wright, Kimora Lee Simmons, Stevie J and Faith Evans attended the ceremony to honor her memory.

Sean "Diddy" Combs, 49, with whom she shared three children, organized the transport of Porter's golden coffin in a horse drawn carriage at a public funeral. The coffin was adorned with white roses, just like the church where the ceremony took place. The service was chaired by Bishop T.D. Jakes.

While Diddy was speaking during the ceremony, Bishop Noel Jones pronounced the funeral eulogy. Other speakers included Mary J. Blige and Porter's son, Quincy Brown, 27, who collapsed during his speech. That's when Brown's father, R & B legend Al B. Sure !, joined Brown and Combs on stage to bring comfort.
