A Florida mom made a frantic call with the help of a 911 dispatcher because her teenage daughter was stuck in a tree for half an hour with piping alligators underneath.

"My daughter is stuck in a tree and there are gators around her," mother said on 911. "We can not take her out."

The close encounter with the alligators took place around 3 pm Friday along Forest Service Road near Alexander Springs in Altoona, according to a report from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The teenage mother told the dispatcher that her daughter "went into the tree to get out of the water" and hung on her limbs for several minutes .

"Oh my god, hurry up, hurry up, hurry up," the mother said to the dispatcher. "Oh, my god, my daughter is going to be [sic] dead."

An alligator is seen near the base of a tree in this undated photo. When MP Mitch Blackmon arrived at the tree with a swing in a popular swimming area, he wrote in the report that the teenager seemed physically tired of staying in the tree, adding that " the alligator was about 4 feet from me, 3 feet from the base of the tree. "

Blackmon reported that at least one of the alligators, measuring about "10 to 11 feet" was unfazed by his arrival.

"My presence did not scare the alligator and he began to encroach on my area," writes Blackmon in the report.

He then stated that he was targeting his Bushmaster AR-15 rifle, fired a deadly .223 round "killing the alligator," according to the report.

A local marine biologist was summoned to assess the cause of death, the report says.
