A mother, who gave birth in her home away from the desert in California, was slammed online after the baby died while working.

The woman, who bears the name "Lisa", said that she had received a mixture of sympathy and harsh judgment after deciding to give birth to a child – a home birth without medical intervention, including the midwives.

Her baby, whom she called Journey Moon, was stillborn after enduring six days of painful work while her husband and thousands of virtual fans on Facebook attended the birth.

According to The Daily Beast, the bereaved mother was part of a group called The Free Birth Society, which she was aware of any changes in her body during the birth.

From contractions to intense pain, members of the group would have urged her to continue with the free birth and to "trust the process".

Freebirth Australia states on its website: "A free birth is an opportunity for an unhindered birth, where the childbirth process is respected for what it is: a biological function of the female body.

"Like the birth of an animal, human birth requires a calm and safe place for undisturbed birth."

According to the Daily Beast, Lisa, a 29-year-old girl, had irregular contractions from 2 October. They continued, then stopped and restarted two days later so severe that she "could barely breathe".

"It's been days since the work is in progress," she posted in the Facebook group that day. "I thought I was in transition at 11:30 pm but now it's 3 am and it's extremely painful … as if I just wanted to lie down and the pain stopped for a second."

Three days after its publication, Lisa's waters finally broke. Her stomach aching and unable to urinate, she decided to see a doctor.

Admitted immediately to the emergency, Lisa recalls learning that her baby no longer had a heartbeat.

She had to push, but after three hours there was no progress.

"When I woke up, I was covered in blood and all the others too," she said. "And it was so quiet there."

After six days of work, Lisa's last report on the group dates back to October 8 and tells members that her baby was born "from a sleeping angel".

"Journey Moon was born an angel sleeping on October 7 at 4 kg," she writes.

"She died because of a serious urinary tract infection … I am in the hospital, writing this and I have to go home tomorrow. We will have Journey cremated."

But while the mother was receiving sympathy, she was also criticized for not having gone to the hospital earlier, sharing the same on the fact that she was a "baby killer".

Lisa explained that instead of mourning her daughter, she had spent her time defending herself after stillbirth.

"The Free Birth Society's pussy needs a kick dropped from a damn window," wrote one person.

"It would not bother me to see this monster swinging from one lighting pole," added another.

Others contacted Lisa directly on social media, questioning her decision and accusing the grieving mother of her baby's death.

"What should have been a time of mourning and mourning alone with my family is now a time of defense of the evil people and their horrible words," Lisa said in an email to the Daily Beast.

"I could spend hours defending myself and defending my family, but I have the impression that these are people who will never admit that they are wrong. you will always fight dirtier than before. "

Three weeks after her stillborn baby, Lisa says that the negative comments have begun to dry up.

In an email she wrote that despite the death of Journey Moon, she still believed that the woman had the right to choose the best birthing option for her and that she was not turning her back on him. .

"My body is fully capable of being born, I was created to be born," she wrote.

"I can and will be born again, I will conceive again and be born again and the result will be different, I believe it."
