Monica Lewinsky says being nicknamed "invariable" is the most hurtful name she's ever heard.
"I think there's always that core of fear in us that might be true," she told The Cut. "One of the most memorable moments told about me has left me in a really dark place in 1998. It was kind of a darker day time than I was." I'm not sure I can cross. "
Twenty years after the Bill Clinton scandal left it in this really dark place, the anti-bullying actress and #MeToo pops up in a new message of public interest that consists of retrieving those negative words that She's throwing him for two decades.
It's "taking the negative labels that someone gave us and taking the power of those words," she explained to the branch. She then revealed that she "was not really able to watch" Kavanaugh's hearings last week because she did not feel "emotionally" ready to do it.
"It is certain that insults have often been uttered in recent years, but especially in recent weeks," she added.
