The couple wanted to keep the details of the ceremony secret. according to Vanity Fair, Scarborough, 55, and Brzezinski "did not send any official invitation; they made about 14 phone calls to family members and close friends, and none of the guests knew where the dinner was before Saturday night. "

For the ceremony, Brzezinski, wearing a Milly dress of a stark white-colored tea length, with delicate lace polka dot sleeves, created by designer Michelle Smith, while Scarborough opted for a black suit traditional and a black tie.
While a string quartet played Haendel's "The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba", the couple heard each other on either side of the rotunda to find themselves in the center of the main room, surrounded by incrustations where read "history," "justice," and detail the ten commandments, Vanity Fair reported.
"We had an event there over a year ago and we were stunned to see all these documents and how we felt," Brzezinski told the magazine. "It makes more sense than ever, given what we stand for as a couple, what we do to make a living and what concerns us as a country."
The ceremony was chaired by Mary Elijah Democrat Representative Cummings.
After Brzezinski, a mother of two, separated from her husband for 22 years in 2016, rumors that the television news duo will be dating have begun to circulate. (Scarborough, who has three children, divorced his second wife in 2013.)
About a decade after starting to host the morning show together, Brzezinski and Scarborough got engaged in May 2017.

A source told Page Six that Scarborough had proposed during the couple's vacation to France and Monaco to celebrate Brzezinski's 50th birthday.
"Joe 's got on his knees and proposed an old style with a ring. Of course, Mika agreed. They came back from the trip on Cloud Nine, "said the insider at the point of sale. "There is no wedding plan yet, they are only telling their families the good news."

In an interview with SiriusXM's "Dialing Donny" in August, Scarborough spoke about their relationship and said, "After a few years, I realized I was slipping into my house and was depressed … I was Bridget Jones .
