Jerome Corsi, a conspiracy theorist linked to Roger Stone, a former Trump collaborator, and Alex Jones, Infowars presenter, was summoned to testify before a federal grand jury in Washington DC on Friday. Mueller. .
Corsi, who wrote books such as "Where is the birth certificate?" and "kill the deep state: fight to save President Trump," according to lawyer David Gray.
The subpoena was first reported by the New York Times.
Gray told NBC News that he was waiting for his client to be asked about his contacts and communications with Stone.
The questions have long revolved around Stone's possible interactions with WikiLeaks and hacker Guccifer 2.0 during the 2016 campaign, as both entities were issuing democratic emails hacked by Russian intelligence agents.
Stone has denied any wrongdoing and says he has no prior knowledge of hacked emails.
Gray also states that Corsi will bring his computer and mobile phone to Washington as part of his efforts to cooperate with the special council.
The name Corsi appeared for the first time in the survey in March. As announced for the first time by NBC News, Trump Ally and Associate Corsi, Ted Malloch, were arrested at Boston Logan Airport and interrogated by the FBI.
Malloch said federal agents had questioned him about Stone, Corsi and WikiLeaks. Malloch said that he told them he had met Stone a total of three times and always with groups of people, and that Corsi had helped to publish one of his books years ago.
A spokesman for the advisor's office declined to comment.
Corsi became the Infowars CFO office leader in 2017, but no longer works there. Prior to the 2016 presidential election, he was a source for Trump's incorrect assertions that Barack Obama was not born in the United States.
