Mueller's Protest: Protect Mueller's rally today; "No one is above the law" in New York, Boston, Chicago and Florida

[ad_1]

Protests erupted across the country on Thursday night demanding the protection of special prosecutor Robert Mueller in his investigation of a possible collusion between President Trump's campaign and Russia. Several hundred people had gathered in Times Square, New York, and other places like Washington, Washington, Boston, Chicago, North Carolina, Tennessee and Philadelphia.

In New York, we could hear protesters chanting "Hands off Mueller" and "No one is above the law" while they were heading to the city center. The Associated Press reported that placards such as "Truth Must Triumph" and "Repeal, Replace Trump" were kept.

Democrat Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois joined several protesters at the Federal Plaza in Chicago, AP reported.

Organizers of the event announced the appointment of the Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker was a "deliberate attempt to obstruct the investigation of the special council," according to AP.

Thursday's disapproval protest came one day after President Trump's request Jeff Sessions to resign as a senior law enforcement official of the nation. He was later replaced by Whitaker, Sessions' chief of staff, who criticized Mueller inquiry.

Here is an overview of the events organized in the country:
