N ° 2, Annabelle 3, twisted man

The nun may be the fifth film of the Conjuring Universe, but it's hardly the last one. With unlimited potential for future sequels and outcomes based on the real cases of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (as well as scenarios and characters) inspired by those cases), the Conjuring Universe will probably last as long as the public is ready to stay on board.

The Warrens have explored everything from a haunted house in Amityville, New York, belonging to the Lutz family (see: The horror of Amityville) at the former funeral home owned by the Snedeker family in Southington, Connecticut (see: The obsession in Connecticut). After forming the New England Society for psychic research, they spent about fifty years in the midst of the supernatural, and the Conjuring The universe takes a deep dive (if not embellished) in their actual stories.

The long-term future of this franchise lies primarily in the dark, but there is already a small series of sequels and spin-offs already promised to production. They're not just going to dig deeper into the conjure know, but take inspiration from now infamous cases that the Warrens have spent a lifetime examining.

Annabelle 3

In Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation, the real possessed doll (now locked in the occult museum owned by Ed and Lorraine Warren) is moved from home to home, destroying the lives of every family she touches. Now, the still untitled Annabelle 3 will explore a timeline that unfolds – curiously – between the events of the very first Conjuring movie. From director Gary Dauberman (who wrote the first two Annabelle movies, as well as The Nun, IT, and IT: Chapter Two), the third Annabelle will take place soon after the Warrens have come into possession of the doll but before they investigated the obsessions of the Perron family.

The film should involve the Warrens themselves, but will focus primarily on their daughter Judy. Annabelle will own other haunted objects located in the occult museum, reviving them Night at the museum – only more scary.

The Conjuration 3

Although there is currently no official synopsis for The Conjuration 3, director James Wan (who will only return as producer on the third installment) has revealed some minor details regarding his direction.

For one, Wan is adamant that The Conjuration 3 stand out from its first two predecessors by not involving a haunted house. Rumors have circulated that the third installment could attack one of the most obscure cases of Warrens, a man named Bill Ramsey, who would have been possessed by a demon like a werewolf in the Kingdom. United, although this has not been confirmed. This would also bring the ghost hunting couple back to an environment similar to The Conjuring 2, but would introduce a major time jump from the second movie (to which the franchise is not alien), given that Ramsey 's exorcism took place in 1983.

The twisted man

Based on the english nursery rhyme There was a crooked manwhich is presented in The Conjuring 2, The twisted man is yet another fallout that will expand growth Conjuring Universe. However, it is unclear how the standalone film will start, given that the haunted zootrope in which the man is found manifested is locked inside the Warrens occult museum.

That said, since Annabelle 3, which will be published before The twisted man, revolves around the possessed doll bringing other objects into the museum, it is quite possible that the crooked man escapes one way or another, leading to the spinoff – perhaps even by moving into another seemingly harmless object.

The sister 2

Although there is no official word on a sequel to The nun to be green – or even considered – the likelihood that Warner Bros. will give it the go-ahead is quite possible. So, assuming The sisters the box office deserves a sequel, where could it go? At the end of The nun, the demon Valak is apparently defeated. However, considering that she returns twenty years later to The Conjuring 2, it would be logical for the Conjuring The universe would like to bridge the gap between films.

Now, the end of The nun reveals Lorraine Warren's direct link with Valak, which links the two films, but that does not explain how Valak comes back, so to speak. So, unless Lorraine's clairvoyance comes to the aid of Valak through his vision alone, a sequel would help to clarify his return.

Once again, a sequel to The nun could also focus on Maurice (played by Jonas Bloquet), which was marked by Valak, between the events of The nun and Conspiracy
