The Chicago Bears, North-North leaders of the NFC, will face a quarterback in Thursday's game at Thanksgiving in Detroit.
Head coach Matt Nagy said Tuesday that Mitch Trubisky was suffering from a right shoulder injury on a day-to-day basis and that he did not think the caller was going to Coaching today.
The question highlights Trubisky's status for Thursday.
"I remain cautiously optimistic, but I can not make any promises," said Nagy. via Rich Campbell from the Chicago Tribune. "I hope he'll do it, he wants to play, I know it, we have to make sure that in these situations we do the right things."
Trubisky was injured in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's victory over the Minnesota Vikings on a late touchdown from safety Harrison Smith in a playoff QB out of his pocket. Smith was penalized on the game.
Nagy noted that the injury was not a long-term problem for Trubisky and that a surgical procedure was not necessary.
With only about 85 hours to recover between games, the quarter injury is much more urgent for Chicago.
The Bears will play Sunday night in football, and next Thursday at Thanksgiving, Detroit, and they will have the fastest turnaround Sunday to Thursday since 2000. It is 88 hours between two launches. 2000 was as far as @NFLResearch could follow these data.

Trubisky has improved every week under Nagy this season, using his arms and legs to move the ball into the creative system of the coach.
Let's hope that for the 7-3 Bears, keeping Trubisky out of practice is just a precaution. If this is not the case, Americans will be offered a pre-Thanksgiving appetizer alongside Chase Daniel.
