Nanny was fired after receiving a "racist" text from the employer

The wife of a wealthy British banker living in Manhattan is sued by his African-American nanny after sending him a racist text and then dismissed by sheer embarrassment.

Lynsey Plasco-Flaxman, a mother of two, reportedly sent a message to her wife, Joel Plasco, after realizing that the woman was black, Daily mail.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO ANOTHER BLACK PERSON", the text would have been read, according to the trial.

But instead of reaching her husband, the text was instead sent to her new nanny, Giselle Maurice. who had just started working for his family on the first day of work.

The lawsuit states that Lynsey Plasco-Flaxman would have ended up sending the text for the second time while she never received an answer, again thinking that she was texting her husband Joel.

After realizing the mistake she had made, she would then have sent the experienced custodian back home, claiming that she was feeling "uncomfortable."

According to the lawsuit, Plasco-Flaxman then tried to justify his actions by claiming that his outgoing nanny was African American and did a bad job and that the family was expecting a Filipino.

Maurice, 44, is suing the couple who left North London to live in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood for discrimination.

She is asking for compensation for the $ 124,000 promised – $ 689 a day for a six-month concert.

"I want to show them, look, you do not do things like that," says Maurice New York Post. "I know it's discrimination."

She says the family only paid for one day of work before sending her home to an Uber. "

In an email to DailyMail.com, Plasco revealed that it has not yet received any claims of any kind.

"As you can imagine, every story has two aspects," he said.

"My wife had sent her something that she did not want to say, she's not racist, we're not racist people," said Joel Plasco, co-chair of the bank. Investment Dalmore Group.

"But would you put your children in the hands of someone you were rude to, even if it was by mistake? Your newborn? Come on!"

Maurice replied that she would never have treated the child differently because of her mother's text, which was either tasteless or inappropriate.

"That's my reputation, why would I do something for a baby?" she says. "I was ready to work with her and prove him wrong, but that was her conscience and she could not work with me anymore."

Mauritius explained that she had tried to settle the dispute through mediation, but eventually filed the complaint after this failure.

The Plascos, who have previously headed the UK's largest brokerage firm, insist that they do not owe money in Mauritius as there was no contract.

"I'm not someone who has millions of dollars to pay people who come to me for extortion," he said.
