NASA begins looking for meteorites in the Pacific Ocean with the help of Nautilus

NASA global scientist Marc Fries oversaw the incident, which was a meteorite that crashed into the Pacific Ocean. According to Fries, the meteorite fall was one of the most important that it has observed on weather radar since the 1990s.

The research vessel was studying the ocean around the area where the meteorite crashed a few months ago.

It is thought that some of the debris of the meteorite is as big as a brick, and the mission will try to recover as much as possible. Fries has reduced the area where the team will find meteorites in the ocean at a square kilometer field, which is about 100 meters deep.

If missions succeed and recover meteorites from the ocean, NASA will gain more material to understand and analyze pieces of rock that crash on the Earth.
