Can you spot the dolphin shape?

We have seen unlikely forms of marine-inspired space, like a Rocky fish on Mars and a pair of galaxies that look like a penguin with an egg. We can now add a Jupiter dolphin to the list.

NASA's Juno spacecraft is studying and imaging the giant gas planet. NASA makes the raw images of Juno available to the public. The visual artist and citizen citizen Seán Doran is well known for his work transforming these images into brilliant visual treats.

Doran has teamed up with fellow image processor Brian Swift to enhance a series of recent Juno views. The images show a dolphin-like formation swimming among the swirling clouds of Jupiter. Doran posted four plans showing the form on Twitter this week.

In case you have trouble seeing the porpoise, look for the brown figure that seems to have fins.

While a Twitter subscriber suggested that it looked more like a killer whale, Doran, who spotted it first, insists that it's a dolphin. This could explain where the dolphins from The Hitchhiker's Guide series to the galaxy went when they left Earth.

Doran also brought us a series of haunting pictures and videos what would it look like if Mars had water, as well as many other Juno views, including this tumultuous beauty.
