NOTOrthop Grumman sent a spaceship filled with supplies to the International Space Station using one of their Antares rockets early Saturday morning in a launch before dawn.

Rocket observers dedicated to the sun are entitled to a magnificent view, including a rocket fire behind the Thomas Jefferson Memorial as the rocket took off from NASA's Wallops flight facility in Wallops Island, Virginia. The launch was finally launched after time delayed the two-day take-off.

If successful, it will be the 10th mission of this type executed by Northrop Grumman under the current contract to provide supplies, including ice, to astronauts stationed on the ISS.

This cargo ship Cygnus was named in honor of John Young, NASA's first astronaut to perform six space flights and commanding four different ships. S. John Young is about to be recovered by a mechanical arm aboard the ISS before 6am Monday morning.
