NASA has a
assignment of class for businesses, non-profit organizations and educational organizations
involved in science and space exploration: partnership with the agency to inspire the future
engineers and scientists by sponsoring a competition to name the next rover to venture
to the red planet.
The contest will be
allow US students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 to propose a name for NASA's next rover
(currently under construction at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California)
and write an essay on their choice. The partner will work with NASA to
conduct the competition during the 2019 academic year.
