"His death," he added, "is again extremely suspicious."

Wood died under mysterious circumstances during a cruise with Wagner and his friend Christopher Walken Catalina Island, California, November 1981.

Only three days after his death, the coroner L.A. made this fateful statement: Wood, he said, had died of a "tragic accident while he was slightly intoxicated".

But the case was reopened in 2011 and the cause of death was turned into "drowning and other undetermined factors".

Wagner was also named "person of interest" in the case, although he continues to refuse to speak with the authorities.

"Fatal Journey" is the culmination of several years of investigation into the disappearance of Wood.
