PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – The Portland National Weather Service issued a dense fog warning on Sunday morning.
The notice was issued at 5:25 pm. Saturday. The National Weather Service tweeted that it was rare to have such an opinion for inland areas as early as the evening.
17h25 | It's not often that we need to issue a dense fog warning for inland areas as early as in the evening, but visibility is already reduced to a quarter mile. Be careful and make sure you have some kind of visible light even if you are just walking.

Visibility was reduced to a quarter of a mile in some areas.
Drivers were advised to exercise caution and slow down. The National Weather Service reported that objects on or near roads would only be visible at close range due to heavy fog.

The notice was issued for the cities of the Central Willamette Valley. It was to remain in force until 10 o'clock on Sunday.

The Port of Portland reported that fog had caused delays for some arrivals and departures at Portland International Airport. Travelers were asked to check the status and schedules of their flight.
