COLUMBUS, OH (WCMH) – Food was restored Sunday night for all households affected by Saturday's storm except 21, according to the AEP power outage map.

On Sunday morning, nearly 2,000 Ohio EPA customers were still without electricity after the violent winds that devastated central Ohio on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's gusts blew on several stakes, felled trees and caused widespread blackouts in the area. Ohio AEP teams worked all night, reducing the number of outages from nearly 6,000 to just over 1,900 on Sunday morning.

On Saturday night, a spokesman for AEP Ohio said the crews had worked to assess the damage and restore power. The spokesman said at that time that customers should be powered again around 6 pm Sunday.
