More than $ 165,000 of memorabilia were stolen from the vacant home of Nebraska football coach Scott Frost over the weekend, according to Lincoln Police of Nebraska. Captain Danny Reitan said Monday that pairs of Air Jordan shoes were being renovated

. Police believe thieves have entered an unlocked garage, Reitan said.

Frost, a former Nebraska quarterback whose team won a share of the national title in his final year in 1997, returned to his alma mater in December in great fanfare. He was hailed as a proud program savior, who won a conference title in 1999 and has undergone four coaching changes since 2004.

The 43-year-old coach led UCF to a season 13-0 in 2017 and a playoff win over Auburn. He spent seven years as an assistant coach in Oregon before taking over at UCF two years ago.

Frost and his wife have an eight-month-old son. The family has not yet moved into the house. Frost did not immediately respond to a request for comment by the Nebraska Sports Department.
