Neon Genesis Evangelion, the very influential mid-1990s animator featuring a group of teenagers confronting their inner demons while learning to fly giant robots, finally found a new distributor in the West. Netflix will broadcast the 26 episodes of the original series, as well as two feature films –The end of Evangelion and Evangelion: Death (True) 2-in the spring of 2019.
Netflix shared the news with cartoon and sci-fi fans Monday night via the official Twitter account of the NX streaming platform.

The series, which debuted in 1995 and quickly became known for its intense philosophical interest in the mental deterioration of its main characters, has launched a thousand imitators and is a cornerstone of the media as well as multi-level franchises. Evangelion is taking place 15 years after an apocalyptic event known as the Second Impact destroyed the city of Tokyo, as well as a large part of the world. Shinji, along with a handful of other teens, must learn to fight a huge biological weapon, titled Evangelions, to fight hostile alien attacks known as Angels. The angels seek to unleash another cataclysm similar to that of fifteen years ago, and pilots begin to crumble as they discover the causes of the looming crisis.
Evangelion The director Hideaki Anno, who has inspired many of his own personal problems related to depression in the story of Shinji, has taken on importance. Anno was very applauded for his work as director of the restart of the iconic franchise of Tojo Studios, Kaiju. Shin Godzilla, in 2016.
