Netflix acquired the broadcast rights abroad for the new Titans series. The series will be launched in the United States on October 12, while Netflix's streaming deal offers DC an injection of cash to show it elsewhere, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series was originally developed for TNT, but then joined the new DC Universe streaming service as the first scripted drama. He follows Robin as he steps out of the Bat family to lead a new group of heroes, including Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy superheroes. DC Universe costs $ 8 a month, bringing together original TV series, comics and classic movies.
So far, the service is in its infancy – it was launched only last month – but we were impressed by what appears to be a good start with room for improvement. The model works in a similar way to CBS's All Access, which offers Star Trek Discovery in exclusive streaming.
"DC Universe, as a beta version, does not contain too many bugs and works exceptionally well for something as big," writes Mat Efring. "The only drawback is the lack of certain content, especially films from the extended cinematic universe of DCEUDC. DC Universe will delight readers and DC Comics enthusiasts, but does not yet have this mass appeal. We hope this will change with the release of series like Titans. "
