Drew Brees made three touchdown passes in the first half, beating Brett Favre for second place in the career, and the New Orleans Saints recorded their eighth straight Sunday, 51-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Brees led the Saints to score points on the five possessions in the first period with almost perfect performance – only two failures. His 17-yard touchdown to Michael Thomas, with 2 seconds to go in the half, earned him 509 career touchdowns, one more than Favre.

Brees resisted the historic Bengal defense well, even diving into the pile to score a 1-meter touchdown. Cincinnati (5-4) became the first Super Bowl team to give up 500 yards in three straight games. New Orleans finished with 509.
The Bengals equaled the most unbalanced defeat in the history of the franchise and conceded the second highest number of points in the club's history. In the first half alone, the Saints accumulated 311 yards and 21 first tries out of 40 games. Brees was 18 out of 20 for 214 yards with three touchdowns.
Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara have recognized Dez Bryant by crossing their arms after scoring touchdowns. The former Cowboys catcher signed with the Saints on Wednesday but tore an Achilles tendon during his second training.
The Saints sent the Rams to their first defeat last week, 45-35, and maintained momentum with their biggest game of the season. Ingram made 13 catches for 104 yards and Kamara had 12 catches for 56. Brees finished 22 of those 25 attempts for 265 yards and a score of 150.4 for smugglers.
Another encouraging sign for the Saints: their troubled defense held in check a Bengal foul, missing AJ Green, indefinitely with a injured toe on his right foot. Andy Dalton scored 12 out of 20 passes for 153 yards with two interceptions, including one that allowed Marcus Williams to return 78 yards for the third touchdown of Brees.
