The Cleveland Browns finally ended their 17-game losing streak in Week 1. The Browns had a chance to win the match, but a draw is better than prolonging a long run of losses. The Browns (0-0-1) can console themselves with the fact that they have not lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, so the result itself is a step forward. They also rallied to a deficit of 14 points and the fourth quarter to send the game in overtime. However, the Browns could have won the game in overtime, but Zane Gonzalez's 43-yard effort was blocked by Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt with nine seconds left in the game.
The Browns did a lot of good things in the game. They intercepted Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger three times and recovered three fumbles. However, quarterback Tyrod Taylor was sacked seven times and was charged with 11 penalties in the match.
