Every week, I update the table of winners for each FBS game, take stock, and guess what the series committee and the bowl committees would be doing. Things are getting closer and closer to the accuracy possible as Sunday Selection approaches, but more importantly, it's weekly fun!
Below, projections for all 40 games of 2018 bowl. Many of them will change drastically in the next month, so if you do not like the location of your team, I bet some victories on the ground will change things! Let's connect the weekend with the rivalry.
- Cotton (Arlington, TX): No. 1 in Alabama and No. 4 in the state of Ohio
- Orange (Miami): Clemson n ° 2 vs Notre-Dame n ° 3
- Championship (Santa Clara, CA): Alabama No. 1 vs. Clemson # 2
Not automatically substitute Ohio State for Michigan. A 12-1 Buckeye resume would look a little different than a Wolverine 12-1, although this surprise defeat certainly covered a ton of ground. I'll have a separate article on this, but I think the deciding factor for Ohio's choice on Oklahoma will be Oklahoma's terrible defense. And yes, it's much worse than OSU.
Other:
Our Lady paid her ticket a week earlier, like Oklahoma in 2015, and without winning a conference, as Alabama and the Ohio State have already done. It is quite possible that Bama has already won a place. And Clemson just needs to beat Pitt, which has no other purpose than to shock the No. 2 teams at the end of the season.
- Sugar (New Orleans): Oklahoma against Georgia
- Rose (Pasadena, CA): Michigan vs. Washington
- Peach (Atlanta): Florida vs. UCF
- Fiesta (Glendale, AZ): LSU vs. Washington State
Before shouting at the exclusion of Penn State or Texas: that's what I will change Tuesday when the committee publishes its ranking, if it seems that I misunderstood. There is no way to know how much LSU and Washington State will fall after losing, but I guess it will not be that far. Wazzu is a rare Power 5 team with 10 wins, and LSU's last loss is one of the easiest to forgive in football history.
Sugar and rose are based on conference links. Unless disturbed, they are more or less blocked.
And remember: the UCF must beat Memphis to succeed. Group of 5 highest ranked conference champion gets an NY6 offer. If Memphis beats a UCF without quarterback McKenzie Milton, the winner of the Fresno-Boise is part of the Fiesta … unless you think the committee keeps a 10-1 non-power among the top 12.

We officially have too many eligible teams for the bowl. I can not find places for UEM, Miami (Ohio) or Wyoming, and that before Virginia Tech potentially takes a place beating Marshall next week.
As always, remember that bowl auctions are not strictly based on merit. Some conferences have rules that prevent players from getting into bowls with significantly lower records than those of more deserving players, but they are mostly concerned with siege bottoms. If you beat a larger program that is close to a bowl that you both want, you're not sure to get it.
