COFFS Harbor has an above-average death rate from cancer, according to a new report.
The report, published by The conversation, gives an overview of how different postal codes compare to the national average for cancer deaths and diagnoses.
The data come from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and are based on the five-year period prior to 2013.
About 554 out of every 100,000 people were diagnosed with cancer in Coffs Harbor, which is above the national average of 497.
The study also shows that the death rate at Coffs Harbor is around 192 per 100,000 population.
The national average is about 172 per 100,000 population.

Overall, research has revealed that, although the national cancer incidence rate has risen by just over a quarter since 1982, the death rate has declined.
