Eric Smith, another friend of the couple, wrote that he was "absolutely devastated".
He added that the couple had crashed into a hill about 1.6 km from the family ranch and that the pilot on board, Jerry, had also died.
Mr. Smith also wrote the message just 10 hours after sharing photos of him at the "beautiful wedding".
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident, but has not released any details yet.
