The 11th week is almost over, which means we're getting one of the best prime time games in recent NFL history. The week ends with the Los Angeles Rams welcoming the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night football. The Chiefs have a one-and-a-half lead for the best record of the CFA, while the Rams are tied with the Saints for the best record of the NFC. The over / under is set to 63, and the world will bet big on the on.
Every week will bring a lot of wild games, unexpected results and lots of money changing hands. Sportsmanship is not new, but the Supreme Court's decision authorizing states to legalize it opens the door to considerable expansion. So, it's time to keep an eye out for important news, heartbreaking news, unusual news and the best way to help you make a few dollars every week. Welcome to The Vig!
The day the Fitzmagic died
Ryan Fitzpatrick is sort of the Icarus of the NFL world – he finally flew a little too close to the sun. Good again.
Fitzpatrick launched three interceptions against the New York Giants and was stopped early in the third quarter. This is his second place, the first after an interception after the return of Winston. Fitzpatrick threw five interceptions and lost a fumble without touching any touch in the past two weeks. The Fitzpatrick era, at least for 2018, is probably over.
The Bucs are a difficult team to understand for the last six games. Their total number of wins closed at 6.5 before week 1. That seemed like a sure thing after winning their first two games of the season. They have winning home games against the 49ers in week 12 and the Falcons in week 17, but look at their schedule and tell me where you can find two more wins.
All this makes their victory on the road of the first week of the Saints of New Orleans much more crazy.
Earn totals
The Chiefs were the first team to win the total of their wins last week, but we have to wait until week 12 for anyone to join. Rams can guarantee victory with victory over Chiefs tonight Monday night football, and the saints can pass next week with a home win over the Falcons.
However, the total number of wins at this stage of the season gives some idea of some of the underperformers. Last week, the 49ers lost against the Giants and assured that they would not be affected. They opened with eight wins but climbed to 8.5 at the start of the season. Meanwhile, the Packers, Jaguars and Eagles all lost in the 11th week and only guaranteed a boost for their respective wins.
Le'Veon Bell Contract Ratings
Now that Le'Veon Bell has probably played his last match as Steeler, there's a good chance his next deal will look like this one. Bovada offers bets on / under the length and value. The contract term above / below is set at four years, with the favorite at -165 and the outsider at +125. The total upper / lower value is $ 64.5 million. I would love to see a money fully guaranteed in plus or minus.
Monday night football to choose
Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams (-3.5): It's the best matchup primetime in years. The Chiefs and Rams sit 9-1 and have the best odds for a possible Super Bowl 53 game. The game was originally scheduled for Mexico City, but poor field conditions make it a home game for the Rams. The Rams do not have a particularly important advantage on the field, but their combination of offense and defense provides a somewhat awaited line. Both offensives are very powerful, but the defense advantage of the Rams is high enough for me to win in shootout. The points total is 63 and I'm going to go with a win from 37 to 33 Rams.
In anticipation of the 12th week
The first lines of week 12 arrived via OddsShark, there are some lines to note. Baltimore has the decision to take the quarterback position, but Lamar Jackson has some problems, but he looks great running with the ball. They will face the Raiders this week, but it's not like the Bengals were a good defense last week. This line will be monitored during the QB decision.
The Bucs are favored over the 49ers, but they have a change of QB going on. Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched Sunday after throwing three interceptions. Jameis Winston played decently and should probably start week 12.
