NFL Betting Guide, Week 7

Johnson: I bet the Vikings -3 Sunday night. I was planning a move up to -3.5 and, with my number in Minnesota -4.7, I wanted to get my money as fast as possible. At -3.5, I would not recommend such a big game. 50 to 60% of your standard bet size would be worth it. Two different people that I respect a bit, however, like the Jets at +3.5 in this game. We could see that coming back to the Vikings -3 later in the week anyway, so I would not rush to ask the -3.5.

The Jets only hit once in week 6 against the Colts. New York scored 42 points, but Indianapolis still had the chance to draw away. New York benefited from four turnovers and won, but the Jets are not the best team on the offensive throughout the match. In recent times, they have fought against quality defenses such as Cleveland and Jacksonville. So I do not overreact to a 42-34 win over the Colts, as the general public thinks. It is also interesting to note that seven starters of the Jets, including the best running back, Isaiah Crowell, missed training on Wednesday.
