NFL Power Week 11: New Orleans Saints retain first place

The best teams in the NFL continue to dominate and share the same goal: they average more than 33 points per game. It's the Saints (36.7 points per game), the leaders (35.5 points per game) and Rams (33.5 points per game), ranked respectively one to three in this category. The defense in 2018 has become much less important than the attack since the Titans, Ravens and Cowboys are the best defenders of the NFL in terms of points awarded per match. None of these would make the playoffs at the end of the season.

It's no surprise that the top three teams in this week's standings are the Saints, Chiefs and Rams. Each of these teams is defeated. They dominate all their opponents week after week and their faults prove that they can almost always win. The only exception is when they play, as the saints and rams do in Week 9 and as the rulers and rams do in Week 11.

Buckle up your belt, the 11th week will be fun! That's where the NFL standings are when you get into action.

On the rise

The Chargers and Steelers are getting closer to the top of the standings as the two teams make impressive streaks. The Steelers have won five straight games, while the Chargers have won six in a row. Los Angeles's only two defeats are Chiefs (Week 1) and Rams (Week 3).

The Bears have beaten the Lions for only the second time in their last 11 games, and Chicago has virtually eliminated any lasting Detroit hope in the playoffs. The Bears defense has not won by the Bears defense, the Chicago offense is on average the fifth highest score per game (29.9).

Washington also climbs the rankings. His offense is not comparable to the best of the NFL (19.6 points per game and 337.4 yards per game), but Jay Gruden found the way to win despite this. Washington is the only team currently in a position to qualify for the playoffs that are not among the top 16 offensives in terms of points per game.

The Patriots' great Titan victory has instilled a sense of confidence in Tennessee as they embark on a major part of their program that is challenging them to face their three divisional rivals over the next four weeks. The Titans scored more than 28 points for the first time this season against the Patriots. The result was a 34-10 win. Perhaps the first place for Texans in AFC South is not as safe as we thought.

In decline

The Eagles have offered some hopes of hope this year, but then they do things like losing against the Cowboys at home on prime time television. Philly has not won a convincing victory this season; their biggest victory was defeating the 2-7 Giants by 24 points. Apart from that, they won two games with six points and one match with four points. Do not be fooled by the reigning Super Bowl champions.

As for the Eagles' Super Bowl opponent last season, the Patriots also suffered a slight drop in the power standings this week. But it's not necessary for fans of New England to panic. The Patriots will surely bounce back.

The rider Leonard Fournette was finally injured by the Jaguars, but they still lost. The loss was aggravated by their team, the Colts, of AFC South. What is even worse, is that Jalen Ramsey seems to … enrich his own team!

The bottom of the ranking

The Browns' victory over the Falcons and the attack under Interim Head Coach Gregg Williams allowed Cleveland to gain momentum on the eve of Week 11. Where did the Browns hide Nick Chubb? Against the Falcons, the rookie had 176 yards and 20 touchdowns, including a 92-yard run that was the longest in Browns history. That said, the Browns still live near the bottom of the pack (23).

The Lions, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Bills, Jets, Giants, Cardinals, 49ers and all the way down, the Raiders, are worse than the Browns in this week's standings.

The Giants and the 49ers face each other Monday night football and New York left with the game win but defeat in the final rankings next year.
