Several powerful NFL offensive forces played in big games last week to set the tone for the last two months of the season. At the same time, several contenders took brutal and unexpected defeats to create a mystery about their remaining seasons.
Here is an overview of our updated NFL ranking in the 11th week.

NFL standings
1. New Orleans Saints 8-1 (last week: 1)
The saints ran and played at will in Cincinnati, and they also played big games in defense. They continue to find ways to partner with what they are already doing well.
2. Kansas City Chiefs 9-1 (last week: 3)
The Chiefs proved that they could win a tough match when Patrick Mahomes and Kareem Hunt were not automatic. This bodes well for the harder conditions of December and the playoffs.
3. Los Angeles Rams 9-1 (last week: 4)
The Rams defense still had a lot of leaks against the Seahawks, this time with more misfortunes against the race than against the pass. Their front-line pass proved that she could still come to the rescue in key moments.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-2-1 (last week: 6)
The Steelers have not left the offensive pedal against the Panthers, and their defense has also found paid juice. They finally look as explosive as we thought.
5. Los Angeles Chargers 7-2 (last week: 5)
Chargers have no trouble sending out unnamed teams or rams. They are starting to make more nervous than the leaders in AFC.
6. New England Patriots 7-3 (last week: 2)
The Patriots could get nothing against the Titans on the road, as their hosts were using their knowledge against New England in every way. They need goodbye to get healthy and get together with Tom Brady in a rare funk.
7. Minnesota Vikings 5-3-1 (last week: 8)
The Vikings did not have the help needed to return to first place, but their running game and their defense are both designed to serve them better. Expect more from Dalvin Cook to relieve Kirk Cousins.
8. Carolina Panthers 6-3 (last week: 7)
The Panthers saw the lights go out early in Thursday night's disappointment in Pittsburgh. Back in the NFC, they remain a great favorite joker.
9. Houston Texans 6-3 (last week: 9)
The Texans did not want to be healthier, but they probably wanted to keep their momentum after winning six straight games. They have to run well to support Deshaun Watson and defense in a more consistent way.
10. Chicago Bears 6-3 (last week: 10)
The Bears excel at beating the wrong teams, which is important for becoming a good playoff team. The surprise leaders of the NFC North have the chance to play totally against Minnesota Sunday night.
11. Washington Redskins 6-3 (last week: 14)
The Redskins have decided to return to victory in Tampa Bay, and no one can dispute the results. And now, suddenly, they came back to a cushion of two games in the east of the NFC.
12. Tennessee Titans 5-4 (last week: 19)
The Titans confirmed their victory on the Cowboys' Road by dismantling the Patriots at home with Marcus Mariota, running and defense continuing to roll after the start. Mike Vrabel does not stop proving that those who doubt are mistaken.
13. Green Bay Packers 4-4-1 (last week: 16)

The Dolphins had another apathetic performance on the Green Bay Road, in the image of their inconsistent and inexplicable ways throughout the season. They are much more shaky than what their record .500 says.
19. Indianapolis Colts 4-5 (Last Week: 20)
The Colts are very alive in the AFC South and Wild Card races after standing up to the Jaguars. Andrew Luck plays as an MVP, minus the winning record.
20. Seattle Seahawks 4-5 (last week: 17)
The Seahawks are doing their best to compete as a successful team, but the main mistakes of their defense and passing game have cost them the loss of near and frustration.
21. Baltimore Ravens 4-5 (Last Week: 18)
The Ravens emerge from the shadows with the futures of Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh in doubt. They can quickly change the story into a free fall by avenging the Bengals.
22. Cleveland Browns 3-6-1 (last week: 27)
Baker Mayfield and the offensive, paired with interim coach Gregg Williams and the defense, provided the missing juice with Hue Jackson. Cleveland has undoubtedly made the right choice of project # 1.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars 3-6 (last week: 22)
Doug Marrone brought back Leonard Fournette after the start, but the rest of the team, including the "Sacksonville" defense, which has not been touted, continues to be a massive disappointment. The coach now has little control over the team.
24. Detroit Lions 3-6 (last week: 23)
The defense of the Lions race had been the main problem, but the absence of Darius Slay then revealed the pass defense in Chicago. Matt Patricia will have to wait, but at least the identity of the game in progress has already arrived.
25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-6 (Last Week: 24)
Buccaneers continue to be an exercise in one-dimensional offensive futility. Ryan Fitzpatrick basically has a ride for Fitzmagic, and the act with Dirk Koetter has become tedious, especially when he becomes so "useless".
26. Denver Broncos 3-6 (Last Week: 26)
The Broncos come out of a critical dead week with a ton of pressure on Joseph Vance. The schedule does not do them any good with the Chargers, the Steelers and the Bengals.
27. Buffalo Bills 3-7 (last week: 30)
Go figure out: we had to start Matt Barkley on the road to wake up the Bills offense and support their pass defense efforts. It's a credit to Sean McDermott that his team is still in shock.
28. San Francisco 49ers 2-7 (last week: 28)
The 49ers continue to play hard and Nick Mullens provided the last offensive spark to Kyle Shanahan. But there is not enough tape to compensate for defensive injuries.
29. New York Jets 3-7 (last week: 25)
The horrible overall performance of the Jets against the Bills at home Sunday was a disaster Todd Bowles would not recover.
30. Arizona Cardinals 2-7 (last week: 29)
The Cardinals have had more positive vibrations lately with David Johnson and their defense, but Josh Rosen will still have a lot of rookie bumps.

31. New York Giants 1-7 (last week: 31)
Some of the team's talents suggest that the Giants should be more successful in the first year of Pat Shurmur. Then you remember the lack of systematic execution.
32. Oakland Raiders 1-8 (last week: 32)
Jon Gruden is running out of words to explain everything that's wrong with his team. He will need more than luck to get the Raiders back to respectability next year.
