Thanksgiving day, football is on our doorstep …
Since 1920, the NFL has made it a habit to play Turkey Day, with so many fantastic games taking place on the most special Thursday of the year. This year, we had some solid games, with a lot in play. The Bears are looking to stay in front of the NFC north, while the Lions are trying to save their season. The Redskins and Cowboys play for NFC East. And the Falcons wish to remain viable in the playoffs against the best team in the league.
Yes, the Saints play together and they proved that they were more than just Drew Brees, although he is certainly the MVP club house leader. Sometimes, however, an incredible player can take over a game and feel like an isolated man. It's not often seen in professional football, while in baseball, a starting pitcher can dominate and that in the NBA, a LeBron James can impose his will on the outcome. If there is an example of a guy in the NFL who wins a match, it happened in Thanksgiving in 1982.
It was one of the most memorable Lions games in the history of Thanksgiving football. The Redskins and Cowboys, meanwhile, have played eight times on Turkey Day, but they play during the holidays with first place in the game for the first time since 1996.
@HarrisonNFL your game photos were on fire, let's hope I'm not the only one noticing it. At one point of the exact score on Bears Vikings. Will you be posting early this week for those of us looking to stuff turkey with new winners?

No, no one notices the man. We even put the report below. They only spit fire when I play against their team.
Speaking of, all the choices are below. Will Ezekiel Elliott leave as Emmitt Smith? If not Sunday? There are a lot of games that are relevant to the playoff race. Here's how I see them go. Your thoughts are welcome too … @HarrisonNFL is the place.
Elliot Harrison was 9-4 on his forecast for the 11th week, raising his record for the season to 109-50-2. How will it behave in the 12th week? His choices are below.
THURSDAY, NOV. 22
Detroit Lions 24, Chicago Bears 22
12:30 ET (CBS) | Ford Field (Detroit)
It's a dangerous clash for the Bears, who are humming right now. Entering Detroit for a short week will be at least as difficult as – if not more difficult to welcome the Vikings last week. Add to that the fact that Chicago is about to start Chase Daniel, who at better Before taking the plane to face a rival of the division, you clearly saw the challenge of Matt Nagy and his staff. The Lions played at home on Sunday, eliminating a three-game losing streak by building a fast-paced Panthers lead with a balanced attack and a late-night outfit. Unfortunately for Detroit, in the absence of Kerryon Johnson (knee sprain), the assist for Chicago should not hesitate to make their way to the pocket. The Bears have already scored 32 sacks (tied for fifth place in the NFL). We felt winning on the road, but Matthew Stafford has played well since the disaster Monday night … except two weeks ago against the Bears. The advantage over Daniel is too much. So, I'm taking Detroit home.
Dallas Cowboys 23, Washington Redskins 17
16.30. AND (FOX) | AT & T Stadium (Arlington, Texas)
People can expect the Cowboys to reach out to the Redskins, but it will not be so easy. Start with the fact that Colt McCoy is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. In fact, he beat Dallas at JerryWorld in 2014 – the same year the Cowboys were 12-4 and lost to the Packers in the playoffs. If Washington wants to come out of Turkey Day with a win, Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne must impose their will. Otherwise, Ezekiel Elliott will go crazy. The last two weeks of Zeke: 388 yards from the scrum, three touchdowns. Dallas lost only once against the Redskins during Thanksgiving, which happened in 2012 at the hands of RGIII. It looks like it's an eternity too. Oh, before I forget … #Dezcaughtit
New Orleans Saints 38, Atlanta Falcons 28
ET20:20 (NBC) | Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans)
If the Falcons want to make something of a difficult season, Thursday night's game against the Saints will be considered a must win. A major factor in their ability to overturn the league's best team: the availability of Deion Jones for Thursday night. Jones was missing from the list – and greatly missed – since the NFL launch match in Philadelphia. If he is a non-starter, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram will certainly cause headaches to a Dan Quinn defense that could not possibly contain Ezekiel Elliott last Sunday. Kamara has eclipsed 100 yards of scrimmage in each of the last three games, scoring six touchdowns in the process. Ingram has accumulated 100 yards in the last two outings, scoring three touchdowns himself. Good sorrow
SUNDAY, NOV. 25
Cincinnati Bengals 30, Cleveland Browns 27 (OT)
1 pm ET (CBS) | Paul Brown Stadium (Cincinnati)
Take the Bengals home. Do not feel too confident about their prospects, though. They could be 5-5, but they have now lost four of their last five, while the defense is still ranked last in the league. Marvin Lewis has picked up defenders by calling last week in Baltimore, giving mixed results. As experienced as Lewis is in charge, implementing the defensive scheme and calling the defense is a different matter. As would be the case with any assistant in this role, Lewis must find a rhythm. What makes this game intriguing: although Lewis gets used to his mission, despite seeing everything during his 27-year career in the NFL, he faces a quarterback of Baker Mayfield who has seen very little. Mayfield's help from halfback (new rookie) Nick Chubb to a cruddy defense could determine the day … of both teams.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28, San Francisco 49ers 24
1 pm ET (FOX) | Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, Florida)
These are two franchises that lack key elements on the ground and play the changing tides of the quarterback, with their records reflecting. San Francisco (2-8) was denied services by Jimmy Garoppolo for most of the season and Jerick McKinnon for the whole. The Tampa defense (3-7) was roasted all year; fouls like Tecmo Bo, a problem that was not solved by the end-of-season injury of Kwon Alexander and all the players in the defense. Jameis Winston must however become aware of what is happening in front of him. He played well in New York, helping Tampa Bay get back into the game. What he has to do is climb into the pocket – and be decisive, which includes decide to take the bag instead of suffering another gift.
Jacksonville Jaguars 17, Buffalo Bills 14
1 pm ET (CBS) | New Era Field (Orchard Park, N.Y.)
Bortles … Allen … It's the NFL on CBS! The Jaguars have lost any chance of winning the AFC South – in all likelihood, in any event – by destroying that 16-point lead against the Steelers. Meanwhile, the Bills find Josh Allen in the saddle this week after winning the decisive test Matt Barkley in New Jersey. Surprisingly, the Jags' high school dropped them against Ben Roethlisberger last weekend, but it is highly doubtful that Allen could make those same games on the field. The average rookie averages less than 6.0 yards per attempt. With bags in hand, the number of yards per fold drops to 4.7. Interesting match for Doug Marrone, who returns to Buffalo as head coach for the first time since the release of the scene when the change of ownership of the Bills in late 2014.
Baltimore Ravens 26, Oakland Raiders 10
1 pm ET (CBS) | M & T Bank Stadium (Baltimore)
The Raiders offensive showed signs of life in Arizona after terrible outings against the 49ers and Chargers, where they scored nine points. Last week, Oakland was able to move the ball mainly because of the semi-finalists' rotation. Jalen Richard and Doug Martin will be the main factors to determine if the Raiders can stay with the Ravens on the road. On paper, the first seven Baltimore are expected to play a day with the Oakland offensive, which allowed Derek Carr to be beaten several times. However, Don "Wink" Martindale lost ground after hammering Marcus Mariota 11 times in October, which was a problem when Baltimore faced Cam Newton, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger two weeks in a row. Here's what we know: The Raiders are not coming to Lamar Jackson. They could not fire Vinny Testaverde if they wanted to – and I mean Vinny Testaverde now.
Carolina Panthers 26, Seattle Seahawks 24
1 pm ET (FOX) | Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, N.C.)
The season has not yet been out of control for the 6-4 Panthers, although they would do well to stop messing around. In what amounts to a huge competition in terms of JFC racing, the Seahawks need this victory more than Carolina. If Pete Carroll's group faltered, Seattle would fall to 5-6 and the Panthers to two games from behind, one of their main fighters for the fifth or sixth seed. Speaking of which, at least one of these two teams has participated in the playoffs over the last six years. It is also interesting to note that Seattle has won its last three meetings in Charlotte, all with Russell Wilson under center. If the Panthers want to win this time, Cam Newton must set up and deliver accurately down the field, where he scores 26.7 non-sterling on shots over 20 yards.
Patriots of New England 35, New York Jets 17
1 pm ET (CBS) | MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, N.J.)
Who knows if Sam Darnold will play this Sunday? I make know who queues under the center for visitors, however. And if we know anything about Tom Brady in the 19th year, the future Hall of Fame was very upset after the way the Pats offensive was played against the Titans. The first season of Darnold at the big was dazzling. before he was hurt, he created more turnovers than the Jets' defense could mitigate. Tell you what really hurts Gang Green: a complete absence of the game on the ground. The total number of yards in the last four weeks is 71, 57, 73, 83. Obviously, a difference of less than -10 business turnover on those same matches can make you think of nothing.
Philadelphia Eagles 26, New York Giants 20
1 pm ET (FOX) | Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
Can giants make three in a row? As bad as Philly was beaten in New Orleans, this group should bounce back home against its longtime rival. Also remember that New York has won its previous two games against the 49ers and Bucs, which are a combined total of 5-15. Philadelphia has a lot to do to win. First, the Eagles need to develop some consistency on the ground to prevent Carson Wentz from supporting as he has done in the last two weeks. Mixing blitzes and blankets will be of paramount importance, as Philadelphia High School is not good enough to play in a straight line and win now. Eli Manning enters the NFC East game after being eliminated in Week 11 after a strong performance in Week 10. This could be another slugaroo of the Giants-Eagles.
Los Angeles Chargers 33, Arizona Cardinals 20
16:05 ET (FOX) | ROKiT field at StubHub Center (Carson, California)
Maybe the cardinals can get to the football field and kick a few quick kicks, get up early and let their lightning run behind Philip Rivers. Do not see it. Anthony Lynn's locker room must be pissed off after letting the Broncos hang out last Sunday before playing football in a terrible game in the fourth quarter to lose the match. The rivers forced several throws, which turned into expensive gifts. Chandler Jones, of Arizona (10.5 sacks, third in the NFL) could force the veteran quarterback to make quick decisions; Rivers should consider eating the ball and live to play another one. The Cards have seen the light in their recent (heavy) use of David Johnson: 54 touchdowns, 337 scrum passes and two goals from the last two weeks.
Colts of Indianapolis 34, Miami Dolphins 17
4:25 ET (CBS) | Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis)
Ryan Tannehill is making his long-awaited return to the Dolphins after a month and a half of Brockball. The problem for Tannehill, besides the obvious concern about rust, is that he will face a defense that has been largely underestimated. Statistically, Indy's defensive unit is not a big shake, ranking 18th in points per game (24.9). However, it's a viable figure when your quarterback is playing at the MVP level and his offensive line does not allow him to get hit. Yes, Andrew Luck has not been sacked in his last 214 pass attempts and the Miami pass rush has been virtually absent, with only 17 sacks of the season.
Trivia: The Luck-free series is the second longest since 1991. Which former Super Bowl MVP spent 244 passes without being sacked in 1991?
Pittsburgh Steelers 26, Denver Broncos 20
4:25 ET (CBS) | Broncos Stadium in Mile High (Denver)
Many people will choose the Broncos to get angry here, as the Steelers were not impressive for most of their win in Jacksonville. This is all the more reason to think that the Pittsburgh offense will bounce back. In addition, Denver won an emotional match against the Chargers and could end up flat. If the Broncos want to win, Von Miller and Bradley Chubb have to put the life of Ben Roethlisberger bad at ease early. I think they'll let James Conner know that it's not Cleveland, because the defense against the race in Denver is largely outstanding for a month. But if the Broncos leave Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and the boys warm up early, they'll be there. First, the Jags 'staff compares better with the Steelers' than the Denver ones. Secondly, Pittsburgh has only allowed 18 points per game over its last six outings and has imposed eight per game last week.
Minnesota Vikings 30, Green Bay Packers 27
ET20:20 (NBC) | US Bank Stadium (Minneapolis)
Although neither team is present yet, they are dangerously close to the territory to be conquered. Especially the Packers. If they fail in Minnesota, they will have lost for the fourth time in five games. They would also fall two games behind the Vikings (sixth seed of the NFC), and if the Panthers triumphed the Seahawks, they would have 2.5 games behind Ron Rivera and Co. for a wild card spot. The attack was the subject of all discussions in Green Bay. The defense, however, will have his hands full against these Vikings, who beat the pace of defeat against the Bears when it was too late. Expect Minnesota to pick up the pace at home, especially if DC Packers Mike Pettine unfurl his stats at the back to defend against prolific WR1 Adam Thielen (1,013 yards this season) and Stefon Diggs . That would let Dalvin Cook feast on a defense that leaves 4 yards or more in 49.1% of the cases, 30th in the NFL. Think Green Bay is going fishing.
MONDAY, NOV. 26
Houston Texans 25, Tennessee Titans 17
ETHI 20:15 (ESPN) | NRG Stadium (Houston, N.J.)
If you have identified the Titans, please enter your synopsis here ______________. All of their season was like a strange Elvira movie in one of those late-1980s UHF lineups. They made some nice outings to watch (Jaguars, Cowboys, Patriots), but their performances are incongruous, without offensive conspiracy. They were scary, or just scary to watch, like last weekend. Matt LaFleur faced a major problem: his inability to generate blocks (over 20 yards), where Tennessee ranks 31st in the rankings. Meanwhile, Deshaun Watson has not yet replicated his 2017 catalog, but Houston continues to look for ways to win. If the Texans win again Monday night, Tennessee will be able to say goodbye to AFC South. It will be a tight and ugly game. Houston wins.
