Week 11 of the NFL saw the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers win to extend their long streak of wins, while the Los Angeles Chargers lost for the first time since the third week.
Houston has now won seven straight games to take control of AFC South, while the Steelers' six-game losing streak puts them at the top of AFC North and currently holds second place in the conference standings.
Elsewhere, the Chicago Bears made a statement with a 25-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints demolition tour continued with a 48 to 7 Philadelphia Eagles fire.
After 11 weeks of activities, here's how we rank each NFL team from # 1 to # 32. (For our power ranking of week 11, click here.)
1. New Orleans Saints (9-1, last week rank: 1): Can any one slow down Drew Brees and the offense of the saints? The Eagles did not get the answers on Sunday, as New Orleans racked up 546 yards on a 48-7 backlog at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
2. Los Angeles Rams (10-1; 3): In a Super Bowl preview, Jared Goff and the Rams survived the Kansas City Chiefs 54-51 at Los Angeles Collesium to become the first NFL team with 10 wins.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (9-2; 3): Patrick Mahomes' performance in six touchdowns was not enough to defeat a secondary leak against the Rams. The Chiefs' defense could be a problem in the playoffs, but it's hard to see anyone finding a way to stop them systematically.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2-1; 4): Pittsburgh continues to fight the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Steelers fell into a 16-0 hole before rallying for a 20-16 win over the back of Ben Roethlisberger's touchdown run 5 seconds from time. The Steelers have won six straight games and have two and a half games ahead of the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals at the AFC North summit.
5. New England Patriots (7-3; 6): The Patriots expect Rob Gronkowski to be back next Sunday when they travel to Meadowlands to face the New York Jets. A healthy Gronk should help the Patriots offense that has struggled in recent weeks as Tom Brady has only thrown one touchdown in his last three games.
6. Chicago Bears (7-3; 8): The Bears are officially back after handling the 25-20 Vikings to take control of NFC North.
7. Los Angeles Chargers (7-3; 5): Joey Bosa returned to Los Angeles in week 11, but that was not enough to keep the Chargers winning streak alive. After taking a 19-7 lead over Denver, the Broncos rallied to stun Los Angeles with a 34-yard winning shot by Brandon McManus. Philip Rivers and Co. seem destined for a wild place.
8. Houston Texans (7-3; 9): Make seven wins in a row for the Texans. Houston survived a furious rally by the Redskins to beat Washington 23-21. Houston can bury the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South race with a win at Monday Night Football in Week 12.
9. Minnesota Vikings (5-4-1; 7): Are we sure that $ 90 million for Kirk Cousins was a good investment?
10. Carolina Panthers (6-4; 10): Cam Newton and Co. continue to struggle on the road, falling to 1-4 from Charlotte after losing 20 to 19 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Ron Rivera's decision to convert two points and the win seemed like a desperate move that could tip the Panthers season to the fore if the team did not respond to Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks.
11. Colts of Indianapolis (5-5; 17): Andrew Luck's ownership of the Titans continued during the 11th week. The Colts quarter has risen to 10-0 career against Tennessee with a 38-10 victory.
12. Seattle Seahawks (5-5; 18): Russell Wilson improved his chances of playing in the Seattle playoffs with a 27-24 win over the Green Bay Packers with "Thursday Night Football". The Seahawks will face another important game Sunday on their way to Carolina to face the 6-4 Panthers.
13. Dallas Cowboys (5-5; 15): The Cowboys have won two consecutive victories to stabilize the ship and are now sitting at a Redskins game at the top of the division. The NFC East seems to be in play after Alex Smith's terrible injury, and Dallas can climb to the top of the division with a win over Washington on Thanksgiving.
14. Washington Redskins (6-4; 11): While Smith suffers from a fractured fibula and shin, the Redskins' playoff hopes now rest on Colt McCoy's 32-year-old right-hand man. Good luck.
15. Titans of Tennessee (5-5, 13): Just after the Patriots' 34-10 loss, the Titans laid an egg in Indianapolis. Tennessee was 24-0 behind Marcus Mariota, who was injured in the right elbow. Overall, it was an ugly day for Nashville's favorite sons.
16. Baltimore Ravens (5-5; 22): Lamar Jackson had 117 yards and 150 yards on the ground, allowing the Ravens to beat the Bengals 24-21 in their career debut. Will John Harbaugh stay with Jackson in Week 12 or return to Joe Flacco, hindered and ineffective?
17. Green Bay Packers (4-5-1; 12): The management of Mike McCarthy's putrid clock cost his team a chance to defeat the Seahawks and could cost him his job as the Packers continue to struggle through the tough times of their schedules. However, the Packers still have a chance to play in the playoffs because of the number of mediocre teams that reside in the NFC.
18. Cincinnati Bengals (5-5; 14): The Bengals passed through their fingers on Sunday when their defense could not slow down a one-size Ravens attack. The Cincinnati season could be based on what it will do in the next two weeks against the Cleveland Browns and Broncos, as a loss to either side would be detrimental to Bengals' Playoff hopes.
18. Philadelphia Eagles (4-6; 16): The defending champions seemed lost and frustrated in the 48-7 defeat by the Saints on Sunday. It seems that the Eagles will join a long list of teams to miss the playoffs after suffering the "brain drain" post-Super Bowl.
20. Miami Dolphins (5-5; 20): Ryan Tannehill may be coming back to Week 12, but we're not sure it makes Miami that much better.
21. Detroit Lions (4-6; 23): Matt Patricia's club showed a bit of hardness on Sunday in a win against the Panthers. Maybe exercising in the snow has hardened them?
22. Atlanta Falcons (4-6; 19): The Atlanta season continues to weaken after a 22-19 loss to the Cowboys. New Orleans can bring Dan Quinn's team out of misery for Thanksgiving.
23. Cleveland Browns (3-6-1; 21): Hiring Condoleezza Rice would not be the worst thing Brown did, right?
24. Denver Broncos (4-6; 25): Will Case Keenum's win against the Chargers kick off an end-of-season race for Denver? They will have to break the Steelers' six-game winning streak in Week 12 so their low hopes for a playoff run will stay alive.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7; 24): The Jags could not keep a 16-0 lead against the Steelers and now is the time to focus on 2019.
26. New York Giants (3-7; 28): New York has won two straight games and plans to fight for an NFC East currently routed. A win over the Eagles in the 12th week is a must.
27. The buccaneers of Tampa Bay (3-7; 26): It's time to close shop for the season in Tampa.
28. San Francisco 49ers (2-8; 29): Thanks to the Oakland Raiders' victory over the Arizona Cardinals, the 49ers are now on the right track to rank first, which is reason enough to put them at the top of the rankings.
29. Buffalo Bills (3-7; 30): We have finished talking about bills.
30. Oakland Raiders (2-8, 32): Oakland came out of the basement for the first time in half a season after defeating the Cardinals for their second victory. Maybe Jon Gruden after Derek Carr was the spark that Oakland was looking for. Or maybe the cardinals stink.
31. New York Jets (3-7; 31): The Jets took advantage of their farewell week to heal their wounds following the 41-10 defeat at the hands of the Bills. New York is retiring as they face an edgy Patriots team that will want to get going before December.
32. Arizona Cardinals (2-8, 27): If you lose to the Raiders, you go into the hole.
