The Ravens offensive was not bad either, ranking ninth overall and 12th overall.
Are the Ravens legitimate at the Super Bowl? You bet.
But this week, this defense faces a tough test and a major offensive challenge with the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees. If they manage to slow down the Saints attack, some will compare this defense to the formidable Ravens defense of 2000 which sets the league scoring record and leads the team to a Super Bowl victory .
Let's slow down a bit, but for the moment, it's the best defense of the NFL, an interesting mix of young and old, with veterans like Terrell Suggs and Eric Weddle at the head of a talented group.
They can clearly claim the best defense of the NFL at the moment. Who saw that coming?
