NFL Week Three Injuries: Cook, Ajayi, Mack and Fournette, McCoy and Clement in Doubt

[ad_1]

It seems that the third week will be difficult to manage with regards to returns in fantasy leagues.

Three No. 1 options were eliminated Friday, while the Vikings, Dalvin Cook, did not have the chance to play in an excellent game against the Bills. Jay Ajayi and Marlon Mack both missed the Colts-Eagles game. The defending champions are also struggling against Darren Sproles for the game, and while Corey Clement was expected to take the lead, he appeared on the injury report on Friday and is questionable.

The wounds do not stop there. The back of the Jaguars, Leonard Fournette, who missed last week's victory against the Patriots, is uncertain after a week of limited practice. Teammate T.J. Yeldon is also questionable for the game, and if these injuries break in the wrong direction, Corey Grant could have a lot of work.

Sean McCoy, a.k.a., Buffalo's only prospect, is also uncertain after suffering a rib injury in last week's loss to the Chargers. Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy would intervene in his absence, but the Bills could give up the race at one point or another where they should quickly fall behind.

Colts at Eagles (-6.5)

  • Colts: RB Marlon Mack (foot, thigh), TE Jack Doyle (hip), OT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring), DE Denico Autry (ankle), DT Hassan Ridgeway (calf), CB Quincy Wilson (concussion) OUT; CB Chris Milton (concussion), S Clayton Geathers (knee, elbow)
  • Eagles: RB Jay Ajayi (back), RB Darren Sproles (hamstrings) OUT; RB Corey Clement (quad), WR Alshon Jeffery (quad), OT Jason Peters (quad), LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (groin)

The Colts have to deal with a ton of injuries, with three key players sidelined on either side of the ball. Jordan Wilkins should be the leader with Mack, while Eric Ebron will get the lion's share of the targets at close range. T.Y. Hilton has resumed testing on Friday and it is good to go, just like the tackle Denzelle Good, who missed the first two weeks. The Eagles recover quarterback Carson Wentz after a knee injury, but his injuries are huge. Clement, who would get the lion's share of the work when he was healthy, appeared in Friday's injury report with a four-part number. Wendell Smallwood would be the next man in the job. Jeffery and Peters have a chance to play after being restricted all week.

Bengals at Panthers (-3)

Mixon and Price are out as planned, Giovani Bernard (knee) should start running after practice on Thursday and Friday. The Bengals, however, have no easy answers on the offensive line. Johnson and Brown are two key members of the first seven teams that have been restricted in practice all week, but the team has a depth of quality if either of the games can not go. The Panthers remain without Olsen while he is recovering from a foot injury, and they are still down the offensive line with Turner. The Panthers are already starting substitutes at both points of attack, so expect the line to have major problems with the talented Bengal defenders. Jackson managed a limited practice Friday after being held the rest of the week; Corn Elder would be placed in a larger role.

Titans at Jaguars (-9.5)

Mariota's status is again in abeyance after missing the second week's win against the Texans and being restricted all week in the trials. TItans are not at the mercy of Taylor Lewan, a victim of a concussion, and right tackle Jack Conklin has a chance to debut in the season after a week of limited testing. Offensive back Derrick Henry was limited early in the week, but was fully on Friday. The Jaguars have questions about running with Fournette Limited all week long and Yeldon only gets two limited sessions. But the biggest problem could be the cornerback, where Ramsey and Hayden both appeared in the injury report for the first time on Friday. Both are likely to play, but if they are successful, Tyler Patmon and / or Tre Herndon will have a lot more work. Corey Grant would probably have a big game if the two best RB of the team can not go.

Saints at Falcons (-3)

The Saints enter the match for the most part in good health against a team with three runners on IR in linebacker Deion Jones, goalkeeper Keanu Neal and goalkeeper Andy Levitre. The Falcons are still without Freeman, which means that Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith will handle the snapshots back. Depth is being tested at the defensive end against Vic Beasley with two injured guys. Receiver Julio Jones (Calf) had only limited practice this week, but avoided a final injury designation as expected.

Broncos at Ravens (-5.5)

Veldheer and Marshall were improved on Friday, improving their chances of playing in this match. Jones did not practice all week. Case Keenum (knee) missed Wednesday's try but was a full participant the rest of the week. Hurst, the Ravens first-round pick, stays out. Stanley and Judon were both training, which made them probably ready for this match. Mosley could be a long shot to go after failing the trials on Wednesday and Friday, with Thursday's session just a limited practice. Pierce has not practiced all week and seems unlikely to play, and these injuries could make life easier for the Broncos riders in this game.

Giants with Texans (-6)

The Giants are still without Vernon, but linebacker Connor Barwin is good after missing the test early in the week following a knee injury. He trained all Friday, as did the Evan Engram (ankle) team, which is good for this game. Texans are rather healthy, even though they are potentially missing some deep players in attack. Jadeveon Clowney, pass passer, was put to the test on Friday and escaped a final injury designation. Receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller remained limited on Friday but avoided questionable tags.

Raiders at Dolphins (-3)

  • Raiders: DT P.J. Hall (ankle) OUT; CB Nick Nelson (hamstrings) QUESTIONABLE
  • dolphins: S Reshad Jones (shoulder) QUESTIONABLE

Both teams are playing in this healthy match after placing a key player on IR (Dolphins guard Josh Sitton, Raiders defensive tackle Justin Ellis) early in the season. The Raiders have received limited testing from Marshawn Lynch (shoulder) and line-up player Rodney Hudson (ankle) and Gabe Jackson (pec), but they all avoided injury marks. The Dolphins performed well after scoring 10 players on the injury report this week. Jones participated in two limited tries before getting a questionable tag, and his absence would be a blow to a defense that plays well in the first two weeks.

Packers (-3) at Redskins

Rodgers stayed away all week testing, but he should train on Saturday and play the third week after following the same scenario last week. The Packers are at least a corner and maybe two after House was limited in practice all week. Jones was also restricted all week, which means the high school could be even more short-circuited for this game. Burks has been training all week but remains uncertain. The Redskins lost a starting guard, but both the starting shots and the other starting guard of the team were fully trained and avoided the final designations. The Josh Norman (Illness) corner was also put to the test on Friday and it is good to go there.

Invoices at Vikings (-16.5)

McCoy is unsure of playing after being limited in practice all week, and it might be wise for the Bills to keep him away from what should be an ugly match rather than risking injury. Receiver Kelvin Benjamin (hip) is good to go after the full tests on Thursday and Friday. The Vikings have their own concerns about RB, but Cook has ruled out Cook and Latavius Murray should get the bulk of the job for Minnesota. The defense is also a key player with the rusher Everson Griffen ruled out. Against the Swiss cheese line of the Bills, it does not matter.

49ers at Chiefs (-6.5)

Goodwin is unsure of returning to action this week after being limited in practice all week. If he's dismissed, Dante Pettis would see a bigger role in what figures would be a plus. Corner Richard Sherman appeared on the injury report as he was not training on Thursday with a heel injury, but he was back in training on Friday and it is good to go there. The Chiefs will probably remain defenseless, Berry having done nothing yet. Ware appeared on Friday's injury report as limited with a knee problem. The rest of the team is ready to go, including the key defensive lineman Chris Jones, who missed training on Wednesday with a groin injury.

Chargers at Rams (-7)

Barksdale stays out after suffering an injury in the first game and Bosa has not played yet due to a foot injury. Watt, Benjamin and Gates were all limited on Friday and could be present for this match if they can avoid any setbacks. Running back Melvin Gordon suffered a neck injury in week 2, but practiced all week and avoided a final injury designation. Zuerlein was injured in the groin last week and is expected to miss a few weeks. Barron has yet to play this year. Senior defensive lineman Michael Brockers (shoulder) has been training all Friday and it is good to go there.

Bears (-5) in the Cardinals

Marcus Cooper, hamstring injury, had a thigh injury during the week. Houston-Carson has been restricted all week but will also be sidelined, but the Bears are relatively fit. This is not the case for the Cardinals, who saw Smith downgraded to DNP on Friday before being sidelined. Fitzgerald missed the test on Wednesday and was limited the rest of the week, but he intends to adapt to the game. Gresham and Golden practiced all week but could not avoid questionable etiquette. Guard Mike Iupati (safe) and defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche (foot) were put to the test on Friday and are ready to go.

Cowboys at Seahawks (-1.5)

Collins 'injury will put the Cowboys' inner depths on the defensive line, and linebackers could also do without a key player after Lee managed only two limited sessions this week. Woods was restricted all week after missing the first two games with a thigh problem. Beasley appeared for the first time on the injury report Thursday and has since been limited. The Seahawks still do not have key players on both sides of the ball in Baldwin and Wright, although linebacker Bobby Wagner is back for the game after missing the second week. Pocic played all the second week, but Britt could also be out after suffering an injury during Monday's loss. This could weaken an already weak Seattle offensive line.

Patriots (-7) to Lions

  • patriots: TE Jacob Hollister (chest) OUT; DE Trey Flowers (concussion), S Patrick Chung (concussion) DOUBT; WR Josh Gordon (hamstring), OT Marcus Cannon (calf), BC Eric Rowe (groin), S Nate Ebner (hip), S Keion Crossen (hamstrings)
  • The Lions: OT Andrew Donnal (knee) OUT; WR Marvin Jones (ankle), TE Michael Roberts (knee), G T.J. Lang (at the back), DE Ezekiel Ansah (shoulder), LB Eli Harold (hip), CB Darius Slay (concussion)

The Patriots will likely be two key members of the defense with Flowers and Chung injured, and the team's depth of security could be lengthened with two other limited players in practice all week. Gordon was also restricted all week after an exchange with the Browns, and Cannon was also a limited participant all week. Rob Gronkowski got off to a good start after being registered on Thursday with an ankle injury. Jones and Roberts both appeared on the injury report for the first time Friday as being limited. If Jones can not go, it would open more targets for Golden Tate and Kenny Golladay. Lang and Ansah were restricted all week. Slay has been upgraded to limited Friday, improving his chances of playing in a match where he will likely be missed if he is put out.

Steelers (-1.5) to the Buccaneers

  • Steelers: TBA
  • buccaneers: TBA
