Unrestricted free agents around the league are beginning to decide on their new homes and rumors continue to improve. York Islanders player John Tavares could make his decision very quickly, when he decides to return to Long Island or play for a new team like the Toronto Maple Leafs, the San Jose Sharks, the Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins and Boston Bruins.

If Tavares is to sign again with the Islanders, he must do so by Saturday in order to get the eighth year of his contract, which only the Islanders can give him. If he waits until July 1, he will be able to sign for up to seven years with any team.
