Nick Bosa is retiring from school to focus on rehabilitation before the NFL draft, said the school in a statement Tuesday.

Junior All-American suffered a heart injury in the third game of the season and was operated on September 20th. He had no time for his return.

Mel Kiper Jr. (ESPN) has Bosa as the main hope in his latest Big Board standings.

"I was hoping that Nick could come back to play again for us," said Ohio coach Urban Meyer in a statement. "I know this decision has been extremely difficult and moving for Nick and his family, and I wish him the best of luck in the pursuit of his future and health for the next chapter, and I want to thank Nick for the tremendous efforts in this program. He is a young man of first class who we have been honored to coach. "

Bosa is the brother of Joey Bosa, who was also a defensive lineman throughout Ohio State. He was seduced by the general choice No. 3 of the 2016 project by the Chargers.
