Nico Mannion will play for the Arizona Wildcats, announced Friday the rookie of the No. 2 playmakers.
Mannion, who was recently reclassified and is ESPN's World No. 11 player in 2019, chose Arizona over Marquette.
Phoenix's 6-foot-3 guard, who is known for his leadership skills, determination and basketball, said his relationship with Sean Miller and his team made the difference.
"Miller has a good atmosphere, he treats people with respect, he has treated my family and me very well," Mannion told ESPN.

"They were one of the first schools to recruit me and they were very consistent in the recruitment process," he added.
During the July evaluation period, Miller and his company were on all grounds of Mannion.
"Sean Miller did not miss any games, they made him a priority," said Ryan Silver, West Coast Elite coach.
Nico's father, Pace Mannion, was a prominent university player in Utah before the Golden State Warriors drafted it, and he was also a well-known professional in Italy. His mother, Gaia, was a professional volleyball player in Italy.
"After our home visit last week in Arizona, he knew it was where he wanted to be, and they answered all our questions." Pace Mannion said.
Arizona needed a leader since Jahvon Quinerly disengaged last year as a result of the FBI scandal, leaving the Miller team without a leader.
Mannion is Arizona's first engagement in 2019. The Wildcats will also be chasing goaltender Josh Green – a Mannion teammate with West Coast Elite – as well as Boogie Ellis and Zake Nnaji and Jeremiah Robinsin-Earl, among others.
