Nicole Kidman turns into a Hellbent cop in the first trailer of "Destroyer" & # 39;

Nicole Kidman is on a lethal mission in her next film.

Wednesday, the first trailer is out for Destructive, featuring the very fashionable character she's playing, who has been teased for months. As in previous roles, the promo hints that the 51-year-old actress disappears into the gritty role. She is Erin Bell, a detective L.A. who seems ravaged by time and its past.

The clip features mysterious images of a young Erin walking through snow-covered trees with a little girl, probably her daughter, on her back. From this serene opening, the trailer marks the ceaseless quest for detective responses through a dark and isolating representation of Southern California. Spectators are also treated with footage of an ongoing robbery, a full – blown shootout and Erin inspecting a corpse.

The promo mixes with Erin's clips in another life – once again younger and healthier, as she appears to be undercover for detective Chris (Sebastian Stan).

Here is the official logline of the movie: "Destructive follows the moral and existential odyssey of Los Angeles police detective Erin Bell, who, as a young police officer, was placed under cover of a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of this band reappears many years later, she must travel through the remaining members and enter her own story with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past. "

Annapurna Pictures, the studio behind the film, also released the poster featuring a close-up of Kidman offering a menacing look. As in a previously published still, his skin is spotted and damaged. There are dark circles under his eyes and his hair has a touch of gray.
