BOSTON – Noah Syndergaard has not missed his chance of being a tourist.

On Friday afternoon, starter Mets visited the famous Monster Green at Fenway Park.

"I like doing that," said Syndergaard. "Get a pose from the ground and set foot."

A few hours later, Syndergaard made his first test at Fenway Park.

Syndergaard dominated the Red Sox (101 wins) as few starters this season in an 8-0 win at Fenway Park. Syndergaard (12-3) threw seven scoreless innings with just three hits, and Jay Bruce beat the offense by leading in four sets.

The Mets (69-78) have won four straight games.

"He mixed his throws well, threw the ball over the plate and went ahead. When he does that, the training is not as important as for other people, "said Mickey Callaway, Mets Manager," He did a good job tonight. "

What start

In front of the Red Sox, Fenway Park has beaten many starters this season, but Syndergaard on Friday reminded how much he can dominate when he is on the pitch.

He encountered few bumps while sailing in a deep and relentless range, and produced only a few hard hit balls. In one of the cases where the Red Sox threatened to take over, Syndergaard prevented them from returning to the match.

After the first two batters reached the third goal in a 4-0 game, Syndergaard blocked them by removing MVP candidate Mookie Betts and rookie Andrew Benitendi. Syndergaard just beat Benitendi on the floor to get the last outing.

The bats were the only bats that the Red Sox had registered with riders in scoring against Syndergaard, who eliminated six batters.

"This is the best baseball team right now," said Syndergaard, who tied for 1.59 in three starts this year. "I tried to establish my fastball on both sides and change my Go to my slider as my playground."

Syndergaard also clinched a runner Friday night, a remarkable achievement since he struggled to contain adverse racing games during his career. He caught veteran Ian Kinsler in the seventh inning to record the second withdrawal.

The Red Sox have again managed three interceptions against Syndergaard, which has awarded 31 flights in 34 attempts this season.

"(Enabling flights) is one of my weaknesses that I have been working on for a long time," said Syndergaard. "Any tactic that I can use to get people on the basic paths or to raise them is not a happy ending, there is a great feeling.

By taming the Red Sox, Syndergaard has now made two dominant starts in his last three outings and is on track to finish the season in style.

While the 3.26 ERA of Syndergaard is pretty good, the right-hander has not achieved his goals this season. He produced few dominant starts and recently described his season as disappointing after a superstar start against the Cubs.

Syndergaard knows he has everything to be one of the baseball pitchers, but this is to be shown on a regular basis. Two years ago, Syndergaard routinely defeated his opponents and was mentioned in the Cy Young conversation.

Nights like Friday are more to his liking.

"The numbers are pretty good, no matter who would take those numbers," said Syndergaard. "But with the kinds of things I own, it should definitely be a lot better."

Bombs far

While Syndergaard has mastered the powerful Red Sox attack, the Mets hit the field by beating several Red Sox throwers who are unlikely to make their playoff list.

Bruce led the charge before others began to hit balls over the green monster.

The right-field player earned a two-run RBI double from right-hander William Cuevas in the first inning and hit a three-run homer in the third period to score 4-0.

Jeff McNeil, the second baseman of the second period, gave the Mets a 5-0 lead. Austin Jackson and Amed Rosario drew in the eighth end. Jackson and Rosario both hit Tyler Thornburg's green monster.

"It was only a fun ball game to play on all fronts," said Syndergaard. "The attack came alive and the defense played behind me."
