The Nobel Peace Prize 2018 was awarded on Friday to two activists against wartime sexual violence: Dr. Denis Mukwege, Congolese gynecological surgeon, and Nadia Murad, who became the dignified face of forced women in the United States. sexual slavery by the Islamic State group.

"I now understand this in a different way and I think of the women in my country who have suffered so much."
Ms. Murad was kidnapped alongside thousands of other women and girls from the Yazidi minority when the Islamic State invaded her country, in northern Iraq, in 2014, and the group, also known as ISIS, filed a complaint for rape.
While the majority of women who escaped from the Islamic State refused to be named, Ms. Murad urged reporters that she wants to be identified and photographed.
