Norman students injured after a school bus accident in Texas

LAMPASAS, Texas – A bus from Norman Public School carrying elementary school students has been involved in a rollover accident near Lampasas, Texas, just north of Austin.

Two buses were carrying fifth grade students from Cleveland Elementary during an annual trip to SeaWorld.

The bus carrying the 27 students was knocked down and hit a fence just north of Lampasas.

We are told that as a precaution, all students involved in the accident were transported to nearby medical facilities.

Two people are treated for life-threatening injuries.

First responders have closed the section of the highway and are calling parents.

Norman Public Schools said in a statement: "Student safety is our top priority and we are grateful for the emergency responders who responded quickly. We will provide additional information as soon as it is available. "
