It is unclear whether Mr. Kim (L) delivered a speech

North Korea has not introduced any intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at a military parade on the occasion of its 70th anniversary, according to reports.

It is also unclear whether the leader Kim Jong-un gave a speech at the event.

The parade is screened for clues about North Korea's weapons arsenal and its commitment to denuclearization.

Some analysts had predicted that Kim would soften the bill after his summit with US President Donald Trump.

A broad exposure of intercontinental ballistic missiles – which could reach the American continent, potentially carrying a nuclear warhead – would have been considered provocative.

No video of the parade was broadcast, but the AFP news agency, which had a reporter on the scene, and NK News, who had footage of North Korean national television, said no ICBM had been seen.

In June, Kim and Trump signed a vague agreement to work on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, but did not include a timetable, details or mechanisms to verify the process.

The talks and high-level visits continued, but the last trip planned by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was canceled at the last minute and the two sides accused each other of continuing negotiations.

Laura Bicker, a BBC correspondent in Seoul, said any intercontinental missile exhibition may have put in place future talks and agreements to end the Korean War.

North Korea also had to organize its first mass games in five years. The Arirang mass games are an elaborate propaganda show with huge coordinated presentations.

This year's games, which tell the symbolic history of the history of North Korea, are titled The Glorious Country.

Analysis of satellite images of the last two weeks suggest that this year's games, which will continue throughout the month of September, will be very important.

Previous games featured gigantic stadiums filled with artists, synchronized gymnasts and coordinated dance performances.

Colorful posters are likely to be striking, but the UN once said that children are forced to participate in or participate in the construction.
