The No. 6 Our Lady Fighting Irish have fallen victim to two regulars, and will have another chance at the No. 24 Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday. The game is set for 8 p.m. AND on ABC (live streaming via WatchESPN).
Our Lady is coming off at 38-17 win over then-No. Stanford, 38-17. They were well in control of that game, and Saturday's showdown against the Hokies is, at the moment, their only remaining game against a competing opponent.
Virginia Tech owns some good wins so far this season, besting then-No. 19 Florida State in their opener and, most recently, downing No. 22 Duke, 31-14. The Hokies gave up 495 yards and four touchdowns to Old Dominion quarterback backup Blake LaRussa in a shocking 49-35 loss that dropped them down the rankings.
See you there on Saturday.

In the latest S & P rankings, the Hokies are 35th in the nation at 8.8 points. Notre Dame, on the other hand, is ranked ninth, with 19.5 points. This implies a 10.7-point advantage for Our Lady we have neutral field. Virginia Tech should be able to make it a battle, but smart money is on Our Lady.
