NVIDIA recently worked on a range of new innovations for its upcoming chipsets. And it seems that it has been rewarded by the launch of its latest chipsets series GeForce – RTX 2080, RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 Ti.
Built on the architecture of Turing:
The American chipset manufacturer recently launched these two devices. Interestingly, the processors are the first to use NVIDIA's long-awaited and highly anticipated Turing architecture. The company had insisted a lot on the architecture it had unveiled about it before even talking about the design of the chipset.
The transition from the Maxwell 2 architecture to Pascal's architecture, about two years ago, was a welcome move and ensured the success of NVIDIA. Similarly, the Turing architecture should also disrupt the market with its advanced technology. The biggest goal of this architecture is to provide processors with better power for better graphics results for games.
The RTX series:
The three devices unveiled by the company are certainly not offered at an affordable price. And this is quite understandable as they aim to provide better performance and power to computing devices. The maps incorporate many new features, including anti-aliasing powered by AI and ray tracing in real time. Ray tracing is the centerpiece of this series, as it offers unique capabilities for displaying better cinematic effects in video games.
Apart from that, it also comes with DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) which exploits NVIDIA's supercomputer farms to analyze a game before it's launched and finds the best way to display graphics.
The RTX 2080 is the mid-range device among the series of RTX chipsets it has launched. Despite this, the current NVIDIA GTX 1080 chipset is expected to be up to 75% faster in some games.
Apart from that, the device is also fully equipped to allow a 4K game at 60fps. It has a 14 Gbps memory clock with GDDR6 and 8 GB VRAM. It's worth noting that all three chipsets come with different GPU labeling with the RTX 2080 with a TU104 tag.
RTX 2070:
The RTX 2070, on the other hand, is the low end of this series. Despite being labeled low end, it still has a punch with its features such as a 14 Gbps memory clock with GDDR6. It also comes with a VRAM (Virtual RAM) of 8GM and an amplification frequency higher than 1.6 GHz and a FE of 1.7 GHz.
The device also has a GPU named TU106. The RTX 2080 is the high-end device of the series and is powerful in this regard. IT comes with 11GB of VRAM, a 14Gbps memory clock with GDDR6, a boost clock that runs at 1.5GHz with 1.6GHz FE. It comes with a GPU called TU 102.
Although the label of the power outlet is great, the reality is that the devices can be a little ahead of their time. On the contrary, it is likely that game designers and software developers will take the time to adapt to this advanced technology.
Microsoft has at this point announced that it will launch an update in October on Windows 10 and that only after that will most technologies be made available to users. Apart from this, the company is still in talks with many game developers to support DLSS and Ray tracing and until now, 11 games will have these features in the near future.
