Even in the most hectic times when the WWE seems unable to avoid chaos, one source of reliability is that NXT events are almost always effective.

TakeOver has earned the reputation of being always as good, if not better, than the pay-per-view of the main list to follow, and with TakeOver: WarGames 2018, the expectations were certainly high.

Despite a game less than the normal composition, the four scheduled fights were promising.

Not only was The Undisputed Era ready to fight once more in the opposing cage match, but they would also be joined by Velveteen Dream's quest for Tommaso Ciampa's NXT Championship, with Kairi Sane setting the score with Shayna Baszler in a doubled Match of the 3 Falls and desire of revenge of Aleister Black against Johnny Gargano.

The hype was built, so did NXT organize another spectacular show or did some elements fail?

In order of appearance, let's take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of TakeOver: WarGames 2018.

Matt Riddle and Kassius Ohno had to face the next episode of NXT rather than TakeOver, but their confrontation had taken place a little earlier, following an impromptu match.

It's generous to call it a match, because it was just a kick and a fall, but it was in itself even more emphatic.

Ohno has been positioned as the bitter veteran whose career revolves around drains compared to younger, fresher faces like Riddle, who now looks even more legitimate after doing such a short job of Ohno .

It was fast but effective. This gave the crowd a little special treat as an added bonus to the already scheduled card, and it took the quarrel between Riddle and Ohno until the next logical place in the most efficient way.

Not surprisingly, the fifth match between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane was just as good, if not better, than their previous confrontations.

Something just snaps perfectly when these two people are gathered in the ring and they play perfectly their role of heel and babyface.

A good example of this is the way Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir were responsible for the first fall of Baszler, which placed Sane even more in the underdog zone.

This made it more pleasant to see Sane crush against all three with a fantastic elbow at the top of the rope on the outside to defend himself from underneath.

It was also nice to see Dakota Kai and Io Shirai be loved by TakeOver trying to even help the odds and fight off outside interference, especially when we were able to see Shirai's beautiful moon.

In the end, keeping Baszler in the title is the best solution for the future because it is a more important priority for the future. This match allowed this trajectory to warm up while avoiding Sane to appear weak. the process.

Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano confirmed, once again, why they were two of NXT's anchors for a year.

They have always performed so amazing that you should not think it was the norm and forget that it was another big game of the year to see if you missed.

It was a solid showcase of their athleticism and technical skills, with both many high-altitude flying maneuvers and a butter-like counter-attack.

But it was not just a series of moves. He also told the story of Black's need for revenge and the descent of Gargano into madness.

Marvel fans would appreciate the Gargano crown, which referred to Punisher with great elegance to further push the idea that there is more of a tweener, if not a full heel, at the same time. Frank Castle's image, one of the darkest hero characters in the superhero genre.

When two artists can come out and tell a story and stage a show as they did, causing an ovation from the crowd, they deserve all the praise from the world.

If you were a fan of the Gargano outfit, you'd probably have fallen for Velveteen Dream, a tribute to Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Whenever Velveteen Dream does it, he gets bonus points for nostalgia.

But it was only the beginning of what was yet another incredible match on this map.

Velveteen Dream has an undeniable "that" factor that shines literally every time it appears in front of the cameras. He is fluid in his transitions and overflows with charisma with the smallest retouching in his work, even if it 's as simple as grabbing his headband in the middle of an exchange.

Not to be outdone, Ciampa is one of the most realized characters in the whole world. He knows exactly what he's looking for, what he has to do to get that message across and how to be both a fun person you want to see and a person so perverse that you want to see him regain his happiness .

The pace of this match has never ceased to be a thrilling adventure, and every near-fall has been masterfully done to be a credible end of the battle, which could have lasted forever, and you're unlikely to find someone who complains.

On a map with such incredible matches, it was a further step forward and there should be no doubt that these are two of the best superstars WWE can offer.

Every game on this card was hard to follow, so the main event had some work to do. Well, despite the pressure, the eight men from WarGames have fulfilled this ambitious order and more.

In a way, it was a party for the War Raiders, while Hanson and Rowe have not had the opportunity to do it since they made their takeover debut.

Ricochet, Pete Dunne and The Undisputed Era were, of course, as reliable as ever, as if this had always been in doubt.

It's amazing how the WWE core training shows a challenging logic, but an event like this does not let small details get lost in the reshuffle. Hanson, the biggest member of the babyface team, is proof of that. He helped her counterbalance the numbers game and take revenge on Kyle O'Reilly after her singles match this week.

This may not be the difference, but enough small touches like this will certainly be added to add value to the overall segment.

Better still, Bobby Fish trapped Dunne in his shark cage and threw the key.

The folding of the top of the cage by Ricochet was absolutely wild. Hanson sort of pulled a double back elbow by hand. The list of individual highlights only lengthens.

This means that for the very first time, this list contains no low points, which is incredibly refreshing after the mess of Crown Jewel.

It's a rarity to have nothing to nitpick or lambaste. Again, with the NXT series' roadmap for producing fantastic shows, the recipe for potential success has not only been achieved, it has also been surpassed.

Although this is only the opinion of a person. Maybe you did not agree and felt left out by something that happened during the event.
