FOrmer's President, Barack Obama, speaks at a campaign rally for Democratic candidates in Chicago, Illinois, his second demonstration on Sunday.
The rally in Obama's hometown, where he went from being a community organizer to a US senator, is the 10th anniversary of his first election to the highest office in the country in 2008.
Obama rallied across the country for his party in the days leading up to Tuesday's midterm elections. He is in his home country Sunday to garner support from Democrats J.B. Pritzker and Kwame Raoul.
Pritzker comes up against incumbent Republican Governor Bruce Rauner, and Raoul stands as the state's attorney general against Republican Erika Harold, to replace acting Democrat Lisa Madigan.
The Obama rally comes hours after the rally of the former president in Indiana, which starred Senator Joe Donnelly.
On Friday, Obama condemned the rowdy for their "political darkness" at a rally in Miami and urged the crowd to vote to avoid the "dangerous" consequences of Republican leadership.
