Another major offensive prospect is leaving the Nebraska football team.

Greg Bell, Junior 2 in the 2018 category, received his Cornhusker Scholarship after playing the first four games of the season.

Nebraska confirmed Friday the release of Bell. He did not go to Wisconsin with the Huskers, who have a record of 0 to 4 years under freshman Scott Frost. Nebraska will face the Badgers in 16th place on Saturday night after losing eight consecutive records in eight consecutive games since last October.

Bell's transfer follows the departure earlier this week of Tyjon Lindsey, second-year catcher, the No. 78 national hope of the 2017 promotion of Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas.

Bell started the first three games of the season for Nebraska and had 104 yards in a 33-28 loss to Colorado on September 8th. His production dropped to 64 yards a week later against Troy, followed by 3 and 2 out of a total of 8 runs over Michigan and Purdue.

Bell told ESPN Friday that he thought "deserve the starting job and that I kept working the same way, but that I was not used to my full potential".

He thanked Frost, Nebraska's support staff and fans for his help in his transition from college.

Senior Devine Ozigbo started against the Boilermakers and was quick to rush for 170 yards in the 42-28 loss to Nebraska last week.

Bell was an American Juco first team player in each of his two seasons at Arizona Western Community College, totaling 2,404 yards. His other scholarship offers include Boise State, Arizona State, Arizona and Louisville.

Adam Rittenberg of ESPN contributed to this report.
