According to the Public Health Division, the woman found a dying bat near the store. She placed the stick in a Starbucks cup before bringing it to the store and giving it to two employees.

A bat test returned positive for rabies, according to the Public Health Division.

Health officials say they are not worried about the employees because the first symptoms of rabies can occur after about 10 days, giving them enough time to get a vaccine. The bat has bet on one of Target's employees, who has now received an anti-rabies vaccination. The other employee was also treated.

"Once you show signs, whether it's an animal or a human being, it's almost always deadly," said Dr. Peter Beilenson, director of Sacramento County's Department of Health Services.

But the officials have not been able to find the woman and it has been eight days since she carried this bat in the store.

"You want to make sure that she gets in and gets shots and is treated appropriately," Beilenson said.

If you know the woman on the surveillance picture, you can call the Public Health Division at 916-875-5881.
