HERRIMAN – Two houses and a hangar were destroyed following a fire on Saturday afternoon in Herriman, officials said.
Evacuations have been lifted in the area, officials said. The fire was 90% contained at 6:20 pm, according to Salt Lake County emergency management officials.

A youth was arrested Saturday night in connection with the fire, officials said. According to fire officials, the miners would have set off fireworks that would have started the fire.
No other information on the arrest was immediately available.
The fire was reported for the first time around 13:50. On Saturday near Shaggy Mountain Road in Herriman, officials said on Twitter. It spread quickly again from 3:45 pm. due to winds up to 50 miles per hour, officials said.
The fire burned over 100 acres, officials said. From 19h, 700 people were out of cause because of the fire, officials said.
A firefighter and four policemen were treated for smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion during the shooting, officials said. The firefighter was taken to hospital as a precaution with minor injuries.
Earlier Saturday, the subdivision of Phase 1 of the High Country Estates was evacuated, officials said.
The evacuees were sent to the Butterfield Canyon Elementary School, 6860 W. Mary Leizan Lane, said Unified police officials. People were able to bring cattle to Butterfield Park.
