Ohio State basketball uses late run to take down Creighton

OMAHA, Nebraska – Ohio State improves to 3-0 on the season after its 66-60 road win over Creighton.

The Big Ten has a 5-1 series lead over the Big East in the 2018 Gavitt Tip-off Games and is also the second major road win for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State closed out the game on a 13-0 run after falling behind 60-56 with 2:58 left to play. Creighton is the first team of this season to the north of 40 percent against the Buckeyes finishing the night shooting 46 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three.

Senior Keyshawn Woods led all scorers with a season-high 19 points off, while freshman Duane Washington Jr. added 12 points. No starter scored in double figures for the Buckeyes.

Sophomore Ty-Shon Alexander led the Bluejays with 16 points. Junior Davion Mintz also scored in double figures with 12 points.

What's Next

The Buckeyes return to the Schottenstein Center on Sunday, November 18, to take over South Carolina State. The game will be the first of a five-game home stretch.
