Anyone who wanted a Thanksgiving meal at the Springfield Soup Kitchen on Thursday could eat one, even if it was not the turkey and the expected mashed potatoes.
For the sixth year in a row, Olive Garden employees and their families volunteered their time to serve an Italian feast at the soup kitchen.
For Olive Garden restaurant manager Ashley Glaze, serve others to the Springfield culinary soup at Thanksgiving Day.

"I was sitting on the chairs just it was not so long ago," she said.
Glaze said she and her husband had fallen into a difficult situation years ago and had become regulars at the soup kitchen. In her new role, she is committed to giving back to the place that, according to her, has given her so much.
